The Paragould Police Department Reserve Police Officer Division is comprised of non-paid officers with reserve certification from the State of Arkansas. The unit is a valuable resource for the agency and supplements the day-to-day operations of the department.  The reserve police officers meet comparable training and proficiency requirements as required of regular full-time police officers.

The primary function of the Reserve Officers is to assist the Patrol Division such as augmenting regular patrols, providing assistance with sobriety checkpoints, or working special events. While on-duty, Reserves can exercise the same authority as full time sworn police officers.
