The Greene County Technical School District, encompassing the southern half of Greene County as well as portions of the City of Paragould and Craighead County, is celebrating over 70 years of public school service to the area. Grades PK-12 have a student enrollment of close to 3,800 students who all are provided a myriad of educational opportunities. The GCT School District offers numerous extracurricular activities and programs for students to participate in for all grade levels and for all students.
Preschool-1st grade are housed in the GCT Primary Building on South Rocking Chair Road. The main campus houses, the Elementary, Intermediate, Middle School, Jr. High, and ALE program. Grades 2nd and 3rd are in the Elementary Building, grades 4th-5th are in the Intermediate Building, grades 6th-7th are located in the Middle School Building, grades 8th to 9th are in the Junior High School Building. The GCT High School, built in 2012 boast state of the art facilities with offering over 17 pre-advance placement and advance placement courses. The high school houses grades 10th-12th and is located on Highway 49 South or at 4601 Linwood Drive.
Marmaduke School District

Located in northeast Greene County, Marmaduke School District has a student population of 760 students with 30 elementary and 25 high school teachers. The elementary school includes K-6 as well as a preschool. The entire Pre-K through 12th grades are housed on one campus. The curriculum at Marmaduke High School includes college preparatory courses including physics, chemistry, foreign language, and pre-calculus with trigonometry. Advanced placement courses are available in the following subjects: calculus, chemistry, English literature, English composition, world history, U.S. history, and government. Marmaduke High School also offers career and technical courses in agriculture, business, and family & consumer science as well as an on-campus Certified Nurses Assistant program through Black River Technical College. Students have access to college courses on the MHS campus, on-line, and through Black River Technical College at Paragould. MHS provides students with large school opportunities while maintaining a small school environment.

Paragould School District, home of the Rams, has more than 3,200 students in kindergarten through 12th grade and over 500 staff. The district, founded in 1900 and encompassing 120 square miles, is located in the heart of Paragould and includes students from the communities of Oak Grove Heights and Stanford.
Recently, a new primary school was constructed to house all pre-kindergarten through first grade students. The new facility allowed for more growth for grades two through four at the three neighborhood elementary schools, Baldwin, Oak Grove and Woodrow Wilson. Oak Grove Middle School, which houses grades five and six, underwent a major renovation and addition, followed by a new gymnasium and cafeteria. Construction at the secondary complex, beginning in the fall of 2019, will provide students in grades seven and eight at Paragould Junior High and students in grades nine through 12 at Paragould High School with new agriculture, JROTC, and band facilities. In addition to a pre-kindergarten program, the district also offers a unique child care facility for infants and toddlers, known as the School of the 21st Century.
Safety, technology, extracurricular and academic opportunities are priorities at PSD. Multiple security cameras are located in and around each facility. Additionally, six school resource officers provide campus security during the school day. The district offers one-to-one technology, breakfast, lunch, and after school tutoring to all students at no charge. PSD students also have access to many extracurricular and academic opportunities.
