Founded in 2018, The Paragould Advertising and Promotion Commission is responsible for allocation of taxes collected from visitors at hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts and vacation rentals by owners within the City of Paragould. The tax is levied at 3% of the total costs for any given overnight stay. The Paragould A&P Commission utilizes these tax dollars to fund festivals, concerts, sporting events, arts and cultural events and advertising and promotion to stimulate tourism in Paragould. Funding these types of events and attracting visitors to our city has a positive economic impact, especially benefiting the lodging industry.
