Animal Control
The Animal Control Unit is responsible for enforcing animal-related ordinances and responding to issues involving domestic animals that impact public safety, animal welfare, and quality of life within the community. This unit handles calls related to stray animals, dangerous or aggressive animals, animal neglect, and ordinance violations.
Animal Control officers work closely with Patrol, Code Enforcement, local veterinarians, shelters, and rescue organizations to ensure animals are handled safely, humanely, and in accordance with applicable laws.
Through enforcement and community partnership, the Animal Control Unit plays an important role in protecting residents, animals, and neighborhood well-being.
